Glass Types
ION provide a wonderful range of architectural and decorative glass, each fulfilling your functionality and visual expectations for your project. Glass can enhance the appearance and design of your application, providing privacy, colour, branding and texture:
Colorglaze: ION backpainted glass provides opaque coloured glass worktops, coloured glass splashbacks and glass wall cladding for a range of projects. Our standard palette provides clients with 18 vibrant colours, or colour match to any RAL or Dulux reference.
Colorglaze Texture: Deep set textured kiln formed glass combined with screen printed glass provides us with colourful glass doors, screens, shower enclsoures and balustrades, plus more. With a range of standard designs and with the delicious option of your own bespoke artwork integrated into the textured moulds and colour application.
Kiln Formed Glass: ION kiln formed glass is manufactured using specialist glass moulds to provide heavy textured and patterned glass. Kiln formed glass cannot be toughened, it can be successfully applied as decorative glass screens and fixed glass panels.
Laminated Glass: ION laminated glass is widely used for glass flooring and stair treads, it cannot be toughened but can be manufactured to produce extra thick glass. 30-35mm laminated glass is specified for glass flooring, providing sturdy glass panels. Coloured, patterned and branded artwork can be inserted to provide decorative interlayers.
PermaClean: ION can apply PermaClean, our anti-grime treatment to shower screens, bath screens and flooring to ensure minimal cleaning and durability.
Sandblasted Glass: ION sandblasted glass provides projects with opaque frosted glass effects for privacy screening, extremely useful for glass doors, frameless shower screens and partitioning. Sandblasting also provides a textured glass surface, useful for glass flooring and stair treads in particular.
Tinted Glass: ION tinted glass creates subtle colour and obscurity. Choose from grey, bronze, blue or green translucent glass. Tinted glass can be used successfully on all our products, including glass balustrades, frameless shower screens and frameless doors.
Toughened Glass: ION toughened glass provides projects with strong, quality architectural glass, for use with most products, including frameless shower and bath screens, partitions, worktops, wall cladding and balustrades.
