Overview:
Ion Glass worked with the designers of the BBC television show DIY SOS to produce a frameless glass bathroom door for a teenager's living space in Romford.
Technical Information:
The Morris family had being trying to convert the loft of their bungalow into a space suitable for their 17-year-old autistic son Perry, to help him live as independently as possible, whilst still keeping him in the family home where he feels safe. A kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom were created in line with Perry's needs and requirements. Ion were commissioned to manufacture and install a bespoke glass bathroom door. The frameless door included sandblasted opaque glass for privacy with a small hole in place of a handle or door knob, this was to ensure Perry could easily open the door. PermaClean was also applied to ensure glass required minimal cleaning, the door was manufactured in 8mm toughened glass. Bespoke glass is perfect for manufacturing a product to a client's exact needs and specifications.
