Overview
Ion Glass were commissioned to design and install a glass bridge at a farmhouse in Lyng, Norfolk as part of renovation to the country farmhouse.
Ion Glass worked with the Architect to provide a breathtaking glass bridge installation.
Technical Information
Ion technicians produced accurate templates for the glass balustrades, steps and flooring to ensure the glass was precisely manufactured. A glass floor design and glass steps were manufactured using 30mm laminated clear float glass, with some sandblasting for anti-slip qualities. PermaClean was also applied for minimal cleaning and maintenance. The glass balustrade was manufactured using 15mm clear float toughened glass . The finished result is a spectacular glass corridor, linking the main house with a new bedroom, providing light, space and a contemporary design.
