Use a glass porch to make a statement entrance

Make a statement entrance with a glass porch

A Glass Porch is both beautiful and functional

Sometimes it can be difficult to visual just how much difference structural glass will actually make to a project. These ‘before and after’ images of recent projects in bespoke structural glass might inspire your designs.

Structural glass porches can be added to the exterior of the building, provide an interior lobby or even adapt an existing porch to provide a secure and visually appealing entrance.

Clever design and use of concealed fixings can produce a frameless result with minimal physical or visual impact to the original building …. or a contemporary and stylish porch that makes a significant architectural statement.

Barn conversion, Reading

A striking external glass porch was constructed using glass fins and beams for a fully frameless result.  The porch makes a contemporary architectural statement on the exterior of this heritage building whilst also minimising heat loss and providing additional protection from the weather.

Adapting an existing porch in family home

Replacing a timber porch and installing a new internal glass door between two frameless side panels created a welcoming entrance and much improved light to a formerly dark hallway in this traditional 1930’s home.

An internal glass lobby at seafront hotel

The draughty front doors of this seafront hotel were subject to constant sea breezes making it difficult to heat the imposing entrance hall. The introduction of an internal glass lobby maintained the visual welcome whilst making a significant reduction in heat loss and improved comfort.
